Spending another New Years holiday at a little beach house at Frisco on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Lots of rain and wind and waves and time to catch up on some reading. Internet connection isn’t good, probably won’t post many of the images till next week, and that would be next year.

I stepped outside the back of my studio the other night and saw this moment that reminded me of Ed Hopper’s work. It’s a far cry from his work of course, but the elements reminded me of the style.

The cat again, gotta wonder what goes on inside that head. Probably less then we think, or they would hope we believe (with apologies to the cat loves out there).

I was invited to a holiday lunch at a client’s house on Friday, along with an art director and writer team I work with. Nice moment between working friends. She had a cat that made an interesting subject. It wasn’t supposed to be tearing up these tassels, but cats eventually do as they please regardless.
